The Great Age of Sail Illustrated Vintage 1977 First Edition Reprint Book

Decorative, unclipped dustjacket in very good condition except slight edge curl along the top edge and age tanning on the inside jacket flaps. Pale sea blue hardbound cloth boards have a diagram of a masted ship in black to the front board and black text to the spine. Boards have sun fading along the top and bottom but show no wear. Additionally, the spine also has sun fading and very slight wear along the top and bottom of the back strip. All corners are sharp with only the tiniest bit of wear to the tips. Spine is straight and hinges are firmly attached to the endpapers with no cracking. Slight age tanning throughout. Text block is solid and all pages are firmly attached but there is a faint crease to the top inside corner by the binding that carries through the book as well as a faint crease to the first 23 pages at the top 3” from spine. Interior pages are clean with no tears, cracks, or previous owner marks. 262 pages Oversized book. Dimensions: H – 11-1/2” W – 9 -3/4”
